Holy crap! I’ve just logged back on after broadband going down for a couple of days and – holy crap. Just for those of you that aren’t aware – I live on an island off the coast of Scotland and we’ve been battered by some pretty severe storms this past week, culminating in some problems with electricity, telephone lines and broadband after I last posted. The storms are expected to pick up again tomorrow, the worst day is expected to be Friday, and we’re not sure if the blackouts and such will be back. I’m trying to keep up with comments and such, but – seriously, holy crap, thank you so, so much to all of you that have posted responses. It’s half past one in the morning here and I was determined to at least get the second part of 8 posted before I went to bed tonight, having been assured that the line would be restored at some point this evening. I don’t actually want to go to bed without reading them, but I’m knackered and I have to get up for work in about six hours, so – really, you guys are wonderful. I’m really looking forward to reading all your comments, thanks so much.

Okay, I'm going as fast as I can, I swear. This next update has had to be split into two seperate eps because LJ just refuses to accept it at the length I have it. I did want to reply to all the comments before I posted next, but I honestly just haven't had the time, I'm very sorry. I do want to say however that I'm overwhelmed and so gobsmacked at the positive response to the fic. Thank you all so, so much for being so supportive and interested in what is basically me having a bit of a giggle and going 'Yay, punishing kiss time again! Woot!' for two hundred or so pages. I will reply to you all in person, but probably not for a day or so - the rest of tonight is going to be taken up with coding and such like again. Thanks, you guys have totally made my week.

Well. That was shaming in the extreme. Forgot how to work lj. Sorry to everyone who was puzzled as to why this post kept popping up and equally suddenly disappearing again. Same as before - thanks to all who have continued to support me, sorry for being such a useless tart. Still not beta'd, still coming in two-part segments over the next few days and if this doesn't work I'm uploading to wraithbait so go check there. God. So humiliated.

A/N: Plot ruthlessly stolen from Mary Lyons and her book ‘Loves Tangled Web’. Characters ruthlessly stolen from Stargate: Atlantis. Oh, and in a slight amendment to the original plot line I had in mind….HelplessyetSpunky!Rodney will now be known as HelpessyetSpunkyVirginal!Rodney because this is a crack!fic and I can. Scenes 2 & 3 were originally posted to sga_flashfic for their wonderful Harlequin challenge. And you’ll all be glad to know that I refrained from using the phrase ‘throbbing manhood’ anywhere in the story. Despite the almost overwhelming temptation and desperate itch in my fingers whenever I was typing a sex scene. Sadly the urge to have Rodney slammed up against every available wall mentioned in the fic did not go unanswered and I think he’s now in desperate need of a chiropractor. A need almost as desperate as John’s to find a good plasterer to repair the damage to said walls. Seriously, there’s a lot of forceful wall slamming going on here, folks.
